Just finished a wonderful movie" At the Eternity's Gate"
This is a biopic recounts the last days of his life.
Vincent van Gogh play brilliantly by William Dafoe who was nominated for best actor.I have learned a lot and did not realized he was murdered by young youth.
The movie is slow. His work was never recognized as such during his life time.
I have seen many movies of this artist.

I didn't like the movie or Defoe--I still like Douglas & Anthony in "Lust For Life"!

I saw a film many years ago about him but can't remember what it was called. I thought he had shot himself and although he didnt die straight away I think he did shortly afterwards

Dafoe is a great actor. And Van Gogh was brilliant, too bad he wasn't more recognized during his life

You really have to listen to the words of this movie so you can understand its meaning. Some people might not like it because it's more of a "talking movie", but if you're a deep person and you like Vincent, and you're an artist, you can appreciate this.
