Do you like these two concepts and want all life to be this way? House work doesn't have to be overwhelming. Nor does it have to be done on designated days. Doing a little bit each day can be the ultimate answer. Designate 15 minutes each day to clearing something off your to do list. There are some areas that scream for a daily clean up and here's some tips: * Make your entryway work for you. Instead of taking off things and leaving them here or there have a place at the front/back door where they go and get in the habit of putting them there. * Organize. Make sure that the organization fits your needs. Label area and put things in the same place each day. This will help you stay organized. * Cooking and cleaning. The kitchen may be used a lot so cleaning it on a daily basis is ideal. Also, if you clean items as you use them there is less mess later. * Quality over Quantity. You don't have to have a designer home. If a certain piece of furniture has out lived its usefullness don't stuff it in a corner or make room for it elsewhere. Get rid of it. This way your home won't become cluttered. Do you have other tips to share?

On YouTube, there is a woman known as ClutterBug who has taught me to do 5 minute tidy-ups. Things have become much more simple.

I find myself wishing I could find the checklist I used when working in residential care. It had days of the week and cleaning items to be done. It certainly helped me feel organized to check things off.

Different people do things differently and are comfortable with different things also.
