2 baking soda uses Here is 2 great baking sofa uses .. The first is to.use in your toilet or sink if it starts to drain slow Or is stopping up .. Just pour some baking soda in and flush. Then add a little each time you use it ..til it starts flushing better.. The second is for beauty Volimize thinning hair with baking soda.. Makes hair look fuller and more youthful Just mix a quarter size amount of each Baking soda and shampoo togeather shampoo as usual then rinse. Repeat twice a week.. Note i haven't tried this yet .. But will be .. As my hair needs a lift.. And volume.. Do you have any good baking soda uses or other helpful hints To share. ?

I've heard you add vinegar and hot water in equal parts to that baking soda when you pour it down a drain. I've heard the tip for hair as well. I can't think of any others off hand. It seems like I heard one about polishing silver with baking soda...

That’s interesting! Hmmm I don’t know if I have any helpful tips or not. I’ve read backing soda and vinegar to clean an oven door. Going to have to try that one with our oven. I use that combo for our white sink which I hate the white sink it helps removed some of the stains and kills off any germs left behind.

@Nana49 definitely I’ll make a post about it. As soon as I’m done with this flu. I have zero energy for cleaning

When I was a child, my mom made my brother and I brush our teeth once a week with baking soda. I still do that to this day, although not religiously once a week. I have found that not only does it keep my mouth clean and heathy, it also helps keep my teeth nice and white!

@Nana49 The taste of baking soda has never bothered me. I guess at this point I'm used to it, but even back in the beginning I never thought the taste was bad.

I haven't heard of using it for hair. But I know it has a lot of good uses, even in the laundry.

Baking soda and vinegar combination works better for kitchen sink. I heard about, it helps hair to shine but not used the same.

I find it good to remove stains on dishes. I also use it at times to whiten my teeth before I visit my dentist.

I heard that it helps unclog drains, too. Pour it in with vinegar and run hot water. Baking soda is great for whitening teeth. First swish for 2 minutes with peroxide and then brush with baking soda. I saw a myLotter who could use this helpful hint.

If a sink is blocked you can pour a few spoonfuls of carb soda in the drain, add half a cup of vinegar and put the plug in quickly and hold it down firmly. It all fizzes up and expands and helps clear the blockage.

@Nana49 True, I haven't noticed any bad smells, but I don't know if it's because the fridge is mostly empty, or if it's because I have the soda lol

Baking soda is good in toothpaste and on your hair, removes any build up of hairspray, etc. And good for the frig for odors.
