* Walnuts - These are number one and have omega-3 fatty acid which helps in filtering out cancer causing free radicals. * Hazelnuts - It is rather sad about this nut. It is one of the least consumed of the nuts and yet it is chuck full of vitamin e. Many of the b vitamins as well. * Brazil Nuts - Chuck full of minerals such as zinc, calcium, iron, copper, magnesium, phosphorus and potassium. Also packed with selenium which is a antioxidant that filter out the bad radicals that cause cancer. * Pine Nuts - Besides being the main ingredient in pesto this nut has a very important health benefit. Pinolenic acid is a unsaturated fatty acid that you cannot get anywhere else. It helps in weight loss and and helps the liver to filter out harmful LDL cholesterol. It also contains lutein which helps fight age-related macular degeneration. * Almonds - This nut has three grams of fiber per ounce. They help in retarding high cholesterol and the development of heart disease. * Pecans - Very high in magnesium and copper. Contains oleic acid which has been proven to help better regulate the way insulin and glucose are produced in the body. This acid is a ingredient in olive oil.

@celticeagle I picked them up when we lived in Monte Carlo because there were plenty of Mediterranean pines and the pine nuts grow in their pines.

I like all kinds of nuts, but rarely eat the ones mentioned above (occasionally only almonds or cashews), edamame and peanut that I often consume.

I love nuts. I eat them every day. Edgar Cayce (The Sleeping Prophet) cured a man of cancer by prescribing he eat three almonds a day.
