I'm turning 40 this September. You can say a certified middle-aged person. What can I look forward to?

Life starts at 40 as they say, I know why, because you do not give a crap anymore.

It is most certainly not something to look forward to. You have to accept that reality.

I have crossed 40. I am looking forward to many more cheerful years. Yes I do fear the health issues that I face. But aging is natural and I want to age gracefully and not complaining.

@yoalldudes I can relate to it. I have a few really concerning health issues and the have to be managed with lifestyle, food, exercise and medication. They are my life long companions and I have to take good care of them.

@arunima25 I believe there are certain health issues that have been acquired for a long period of time and will require a long healing period as well. For now, all I can do is manage.

@yoalldudes yes 40 is still young. You still have high chances with your work. If you're not happy with government you can try the private sector, or get into business. It's the age where women can be at their best.

Don't you worry. Life is how we feel it not how many years we already have on earth. You are still young compared to myself but I am still looking forward to anything that I have planned in life. Just stay healthy and enjoy.
