It was a very active day. Never perfect, but it keeps me busy and I feel needed.

I am not really able to tell much online about any of the kids I work with. Let's just say this is the high behavior classroom with lots of medical needs and physical challenges. It keeps me from being bored.

@GardenGerty Working with those children definitely gives you a different perspective and a reason to be thankful for your lot in life. Plus being able to help them and brighten their day whenever you can. Do you remember MakingCents? She used to work with autistic children and she seemed to really enjoy it.

I am really good at my job, plus there is a shortage of people willing to do this. I have around thirty years of various experience with people with special needs. The people I have worked with have ranged from 2 1/2 to 72. That does not count my medical and dementia experience or my social work experience. Sue's room has both high medical needs and high behavioral needs.

I think the work is good for me. If it isn't, I can say "no".

I try not to. In some ways being the sub is harder, in other ways, it is easy because only responsible for doing my best and it will have to be good enough.
