Do you talk talk to your pets?

I sometimes talk to my stray pets. Like if they come and sit, I ask them "What happened?" In most cases they make a sound which kind of shows they are trying to respond. Sometimes when they run too fast and play vigorously, I make some silly comments. It is fun to talk to them. They do understand us a little, if not completely. Jakie is the smartest as he is older than the others. Do you talk talk to your pets? Picture from google images

I don't have any pets. My friends have pets and the neighbors have pets. I have been known to talk to them. Like the other day one of the neighbors cats was walking across our yard. I said "here kitty kitty kitty" and she sprinted faster away from me. I told her "fine be that way!" I've only gotten two of the cats to come to me. One will come as soon as you call. As for my friend's cats, if I am spending the weekend with them... Well there was once that I was almost asleep and the cat jumped down from the table and knocked something over. I said "You butthead!" as I had to get up and get the item off the floor.

@Sheali The cat thought I was inviting him to sleep with me I guess. A few minutes later I was almost asleep again and I felt the pounce of the cat jumping up to curl next to me. My friend has two cats, one that is a runt. The runt does not wake me when she comes to sleep near me, she's so light. The other one, with his panther ancestry (or so he thinks) is a pudgy little dude and so you notice when he comes to say hi.

Some times we do talk to our fish and ferrets. Let them hear our voices especially the ferrets give them praise

@Sheali I think it is important to talk to our pets. I used to take my dog for a walk and put my arm around her and talk to her. People would ask who I was talking to and I would tell them my dog and they would either smile or look at me weird. I didn't care. She was my best friend and I loved her and wanted her to know things.

@Sheali Here there are people first of all do not understand why someone has a pet and then to talk to that pet is hard for them to comprehend.
