Yay, we took our daughter to the doctor a few days ago because her throat was hurting and so was he stomach and were worried they her strep for 2 weeks ago didn’t go away fully even though we did her 5 day antibiotics. Totally possible for her to get it again a second time from someone else or it not being fully gone and regrowing again. So we had her tested and kept her home for a few days. The doctor wasn’t a 100% if it was viral or strep so she wanted us to keep her away well and treat her symptoms as need. So we did. I’m sure it’s just viral now that her test came back negative. Tomorrow she will go to school for the day.

That's good that the test came back negative....but sorry she is sick. My son is sick too, and we got told it's just allergies, but seems worse than just allergies!

Yeah it’s never fun when they are sick. I’m sure she’ll be back to her full self in a few days and she only had school tomorrow Friday the kids have a school holiday

Okay, even if someone is negative it doesn’t mean they don’t have it or are not a carrier for it

Ahhh....memories of the good ole days of caring for sick kids. I remember when I first put my son in daycare it seems like we were all sick for months afterward. I was kinda freaking out about us being sick so much, but it was funny because the first question the doctor asked me was, "Did your son recently start school or daycare?" When I said yes, she said that we had what they call "daycare disease." Because my son was being exposed to so many kids in the daycare setting all of a sudden, he was picking up ever virus every kid had. It was overwhelming his immune system, and ultimately the rest of our family. The doctor said not to worry, after about two months our immune systems would catch up and we'd all be healthy again!

Yeah stuff is going around the kids school right now. Flu, strep and the stomach bug. Thankfully we have escaped the stomach bug this year.

@ShyBear88 My daughter works in an after-school program and she said everybody at work was catching the stomach bug. I was pissed because I thought she would bring it home and spread it to the rest of the family. Luckily, I dodged a bullet on that one because I never caught the bug.
