I end up destroying my door knob.

I really don't know what happened. The door my bedroom was not locked because I have no reason to do so because I am alone in my house. Well if my pets counts I am not. So I was about to exit my bedroom so I can go downstairs to get ready for work and my door refuse to open. It is like jammed and stuck. I tried multiple tutorials from Google none of them work so I end up destroying it. I guess I will buy a new one but the new one will be a round door knob.
I found out that Lever handles have higher chances of getting stuck. That 5 dollars could have been a warm pizza.
No pizza today, need to buy a new doorknob.
The picture is my actual door knob

I will stick to round door knobs, the lever types have risks to get stuck. This is the second time it happened to me,
