The Big Pizza Mixup

Since we got home from Florida I have pretty much been cooking at home. We ate out the entire way north and it does get old after a while. Yesterday, however, we did go out for dinner. It is Friday and we don't eat meat on Friday so we had to choose a place that had some meatless choices.
We went to a local Italian restaurant. I ordered calamari for us to share and Al ordered the baked ziti. I decided to have pizza. A white Hawaiian is my favorite but no bacon or ham allowed so I subbed in black olives with the pineapple.
We ate our calamari and then our waitress brought Al his ziti, she sheepishly told me, the cook is just putting in your pizza, he thought I write peppers and olives not pineapple and olives. But you can have the pepper and olive pizza for free and we will make the other one for you. I said okay.
Actually, I really liked the pepper and olives, maybe even more than the pineapple one but now we have lots of leftover pizza. I gave my grandsons several pieces today when they visited.

Because in this part of the country finding organic pizza is like finding the needle in the haystack before it sticks you @BelleStarr
Sometimes I make an almost pizza using tortillas for the crust. They're not too bad but still, I miss the traditional pizza.

@BelleStarr I like pineapple with ham steaks, but not on top of the pizza. I am a bit picky with pizza toppings.

@BelleStarr awesome. you can switch off when you order pizza from there, or even do all olives, with half peppers and half pineapples to have both without buying two pizzas ;)

I'm so sorry that he isn't feeling well, I hope the doctors can figure it out. And yes I ended up with 3 days of food!!

Wow, that was very nice of them to let you have the mix-up pizza for free. It's better than the alternative, which is throwing it away, so I'm glad they offered it to you. I'm also glad you enjoyed it. The nice thing about pizza is that it is still good to eat as leftovers, well at least I think so! The kids and I had pizza last night for dinner, and we still have half a pie left that we'll eat as leftovers today!

That sounds wonderful, nothing is better than the kids and grandkids. Alex and Brandon came over to play Ticket to Ride with us and we had a great time yesterday.
