I missed our Tree

bird, papaya, tree
Philippines

Few nights ago after a short visit with my dog at the back I noticed something in our Papaya Tree. It was a small bird. I thought it was dead but when I shook the tree a little it woke up. But I don't bother it anymore so it can sleep. That's when I thought of regret of having our Mango tree cut down years back. When we were removing the branches we saw a nest and three eggs on it. I hope the bird was okay, though because I didn't see it this morning.

Hello @arunima25 It was wrecking our Home. We postponed it for so many years until insects had become a problem.

@allknowing I think in Singapore they even made an effort to transport the whole tree somewhere else.

Hello @allknowing You know if we only had more money we could have built a better structure and leave the tree alone.

I'm sure the bird is fine. It was probably out hunting breakfast.

I also remember our old mango tree that had to be cut for our house extension. =( I also miss that tree. It became a part of our kids' life because it had provided money to buy some of our needs in going to school. It used to bear a lot of fruits.

Hello @brokenbee I know that feeling sacrificing the tree just for the expansion of the house. Not only that we had first put down two Narra Tree.

You should had not shaken the tree and just wait till morning to see if it is still alive. I hope the bird can find a good nesting place.

That's why it's best not to do any tree cutting in the Spring. Any other time of year would be fine, but Spring is when most birds lay their eggs.
