I Will Start Deleting Posts

No, no, no. NOT because I am mad at MyLot. NOT because I am leaving MyLot. There are just certain older posts that simply are sort of obsolete in my mind. No one is going to bother finding them. I have already been paid for them. They are nonsensical, and I don't see any reason to keep them up.
There are some of us here who do this regularly for a variety of reasons. What say you? Pointless to keep old posts up that no one will find, read, or respond to? They have run their course. They no longer serve a purpose. Why keep them?
Besides, I can always find a creative way to repost the topics and make new money on them. I don't think there is anything wrong with that.
What are your thoughts on deleting posts?

I think @Maluse has MyLotters for breakfast. I AM TEASING!!! Just saying. As for trying to write in-depth thoughtful posts around here, how many of those succeed in making more than a couple pennies? What I had for breakfast posts, although I hate them mostly, make the most money for whatever reason. No one seems to care about in-depth, thoughtful posts around here. They want quick, two sentence posts they can easily get through. Most people look at longer posts here and run away. We're not going to get the Pulitzer, and this site is not going to overtake the New York Times, so why are we all sitting here thinking we need to be the next big thing when it comes to writing? If I thought this site was geared toward that I would CERTAINLY take the time. But that does not describe this site at all. Here, the better you write, and the more in-depth you write, the less you will be read. It's just the way it is. So...why bother? That is not to be mean. It's simply to be realistic. If I want to write something meaningful, I am not going to waste my effort posting it here. I have other places for that sort of thing.

@jaboUK She will probably be mad at me for it. But I could not resist the temptation.
That's a lot of it for me as well. I just like to write. I really don't care what I write about so long as I am writing something, and I like the fact that stuff written here does not need to be a masterpiece.

I don't do it, but I know many do. I might want to refer back sometime to one.

I never delete posts. What's the point? They are not doing me any harm. Plus, there is a chance someone may comment on them... Not to mention that it's something I've written... and I like to keep everything I write.

I agree with @lovebuglena. I barely take the time to delete old email besides taking the time to delete old posts. No judgement if that's what you choose to do, though. @porwest

I've made hundreds of discussions over the years...and deleted them all
Personally, once I've exhausted my ability to comment on responses I feel the discussion is done so it goes...we're in the minority here.

I was thinking about the old posts today actually. I think that I have over 800 of them and many would have been written at various locations around the world... kind on like a diary... unfortunately, it's not easy to get back to them :( I would love to see what my very first post was about!

I do have a couple of long articles for which I did a lot of research; and only a couple of people were interested in the topic. I might delete those and post them somewhere else. I keep up with the people I'm following (so far); so I won't be going back to read any old posts.

I delete posts that are dated or timely. No since keeping posts from last Christmas.

Eh, I keep them. my account isn't that old to begin with but I like to look back sometimes. Also keep track of if I've used a topic before. To me it just shows progress.
I'm not on myLot for actual writing, it's just been a diary I get paid for lmao. you might be too hard on yourself. but if you want to be rid of old posts, you go for it

I haven’t bothered to delete old posts yet, but I may consider it!
