Spent $2.00 on these books... also today

You'll forgive it being slightly out of focus. I also showed the spines only because one cover has a bit of.. well, not nudity per se, but not exactly decent for mylot either.
One book
Tipping The Velvet By Sarah Waters was $6.50.
The Other
The Lace Reader by Brunonia Barry was 1.00.
I had a voucher and a gift card so only paid around $2.00 out of my own pocket...
I almost bought another Mycroft Holmes book but thought I'd be a bit of a purist this time and not buy anything that wasn't Arthur Conan Doyle's work.
I've folded laundry, I've put more in... I've packed my toiletries (I went to the dollar tree for travel size stuff) and my clothes. The only thing left to pack is my books, which I'll pack today, and my laptop and food which I'll pack on Wednesday..
Things I hope I don't forget
My charger.
The Frozen Food.
I will probably put a note by the door that says "Have you got the frozen food? What about your phone charger?
So how is everyone's day going?

So far I have sent houseguests on their way, swept the family-room floor and am now working on my third load of laundry.
...I'm taking it "easy" today.

Laundry is my least favorite chore. I need to run the dishwasher, I cleaned the shower earlier, I need to clean the toilet again.
I'm going to do as much as I can today so I don't have to do so much tomorrow.

@SophiaMorros I'm the only one that does things here. Well, my uncle does the trash but he waits until the last mintue and he won't go around the house to gather the trash, I have to do that. It's a battle that I've fought and haven't won, I just let it go and do it myself, it's less grief that way.
I'll be doing chores when I get to my friends as well. Keeping my dishes clean, sweeping the floor daily....

@ScribbledAdNauseum I'm doing the minimum needed to keep my household running at the moment. Dishes are done (thanks to my oldest son), bathroom has been wiped down (thanks to my youngest daughter) and I'm dueling with the laundry monster. (Maybe I'll win this time).

I watched another cute movie called Murder Ahoy and an episode of Whiskey Cavalier. I listened to some more of my audiobook (Many Waters by Madeleine L'Engle) and did some work. I gave some treats to Lily for April Fools Day. Today I took out the trash. It starting actually snowing (not sticking) after I got Lily in the house. I watched another episode of Whiskey Cavalier. I hope to listen to some more of the audiobook.

I saw you posted about that earlier but I haven't gotten around to it, I've had a busy morning.
It is snowing here as well though I didn't see many flakes. Crazy!

@simone10 I didn't even think about a squeaker one, I don't think my friend likes getting those anyway. I would have gotten a tug rope.
I just got a picture of one of her dogs... He barked which causes his "siblings" to go to the door and bark. While they did that, he grabbed the rope toy. I guess he didn't want to fight over it with his brother. Smart pup!

Well they definitely think it's exciting, I'm sure. I almost got my friend's doggos a pet toy when I was at the dollar tree, but decided not to. They'd have those toys destroyed in two seconds flat.

@ScribbledAdNauseum one of mine is the same way. She will chew, get all the stuffing out while trying to find the squeaker.

As well as ever, nothing to complain about. Just trying to prepare myself for a weeks stay a my friends, where I'll be mostly home alone.

@amadeo Oh, no, let me clarify. I am going to be at their house while they are on a cruise... I expect they'll probably bring me back a gift, though I won't ask for one.

I won't be watching that, as you know. If I've read the book (or am going to) then I won't be watching it. I"m still trying to finish "The Little Stranger" by Sarah Waters. I've got maybe 30 pages left I think...

Are you going to visit someone? If you are, enjoy your time away:) These sound like two very good books, what a great buy!

I am going to be sitting on five furry nieces and nephews...
My friend is going on a cruise and I am heading across town so that I can feed and water her pets, plus let them out to do their business and play.

@ScribbledAdNauseum Sorry for sounding so nosy:( I just realized that you're going somewhere. Have a fun time, taking care of these 5 furry nieces and nephews!

@kobesbuddy No, it's fine! I didn't think you were being nosey at all. I'm sure I'll have fun. If the weather is good enough, I am going to be hammock lounging while the dogs play. They listen very well and never leave her yard.

There are times that I put a note on the door so I don't forget something.
Nothing exciting here unless you count housework exciting

Nope, I definitely do not count housework as being exciting.
Yes, I'm going to be putting the note by the door just to be on the safe side.
