Dr. Appointment Went Well

This morning I had my doctor appointment, for my three month diabetes check up. I actually think it was more like 2 months since they scheduled me for the first of April, but oh well.
The appointment actually went pretty quick today. They didn't take us back for about 15 minutes since they were pretty busy....but the doctor didn't make us wait forever this time.
He was pretty happy when he saw my blood sugars. I figured he'd be disappointed because of how I have done this past month.
If my a1c is 6.5 or less, I won't have to go back for 6 months. I should find out the results tomorrow when I see my nutritionist. He sent over labs to be drawn to check everything....cholesterol, and all those other numbers.
Hope you are all having a great day so far!

The doctor was actually smiling because he was pleased with my numbers. Minus the handful of high ones. I'm hoping my other numbers are okay, so I don't get lectured about my diet lol.

Your A1C will be less than 6.5 because you're doing better than you think, with your diet:)

@MommyOfEli2013 Good job, Courtney! You felt that you blew it royally and this A1C says, 'your blood glucose was kept down most of the time:) And thru April, you will do even better!

@kobesbuddy Thank you, and yes that is true....not a lot of my numbers were over 200, and quite a lot were under 100....some even 80's or less. True, hoping through April I get back to working out too. Should have this week but don't feel up to it.

That's good news! Let's hope your a1c levels drop below 6.5. It will be nice not to have to worry about going back for 6 months!

@MommyOfEli2013 That's great news Courtney! keep up the good work. And, yes, no vacation! Keep working hard over those next 6 months to get those numbers even lower!

Thank you, I just wrote a post about the results....but it did go from 6.7 to 6.5. Good news though is that I can go 6 months between the appointments! But as my doc said, that doesn't mean it is a 6 month vacation from my diet and working out lol

My a1c did go down a little and my other numbers are not too bad. Hoping they are all great when I get them checked in September.
