What Really Happened?

For the past few days when I wasn’t wrapped up with other stuff I’ve been following a Netflix show dealing with the disappearance of Madeline McCann who went missing while her family was vacationing in Portugal but from the beginning when news of this broke in 2007, I couldn’t help but wondering for one thing, why did these people leave their children alone, many of whom were toddlers? I freak out if my ten year old charge isn’t wiithin view of me because I am very aware of the dangers of the world. Leaving children alone even at home is not something I would do especially not two and three year old’s, so I do believe there was certainly negligence on their part, but is their more to the story? I can’t help but think there is a lot we don’t know, and though I don’t believe we are called to judge, I do believe in Common Sense, and from the start of this, that has been seriously lacking!

I feel exactly as you do. Things just don't add up.

@Michellekidwell me too. I can't help but have a feeling that one or both of the parents are involved somehow.

@simone10 At the very least they hold copability for leaving the children alone.

In 2007, Madeline McCann went missing while her family was vacationing in Portugal, under suspicious circumstances for one things they left children unattended too while the adults went for dinner and drinks!

Goggle it. Appears to be an interesting movie. I too am puzzle as to how a parent could leave a young child unattended, especially in a foreign country. I guess I have to watch the film for a better understanding of the circumstances that cause this parental negligence.

It is very interesting, but I’m still left wondering why, why leave toddlers unsupervised in a foreign country, I wouldn’t even do that in the safety of my home!

If people can leave small children unattended in a locked car on a hot day, it doesn't surprise me to hear that they left their children alone.

That appears interesting. But leaving kids alone at home is always so risky. I lack the brave heart needed to do so

I wouldn’t do it either, and don’t really understand why they would!
