Weird Word Wednesday- Sashay

I think "sashay" is a fun word!
I've heard it several times through the years, but I don't think I've used it in a sentence.
When I hear or read "sashay", I think of someone walking away, with their hand in the air, a flip of the hair, and an attitude with dramatic flair!
(Hey! I just made up a poem!)
My mental image doesn't exactly fit the definition I found.
I did a web search on this word, and most of the information was about runway models on the catwalk. (See video.)
