As if the already depressing international news is not enough, another conflict arises, and once again, in Libya. The reason for a potential civil war is one man's objective to seize power. With an army of tremendous firepower, he is determined to take Tripoli, the capital.. This is alarming for Filipinos because we have a volume of overseas contract workers in Libya. The Philippines has already banned flights to Tripoli and has communicated the OFW's for flights back home. Here's the initial story.
The United Nations Security Council has called on militia forces commanded by Khalifa Haftar to halt their advance on the Libyan capital Tripoli. Haftar's Li...

With the volume of Filipinos we send abroad we should already have a blue-water navy by now in case we need to evacuate them when a conflict like this arises, sad fact is we don't even have enough ships to patrol our own EEZ and numerous islands our crook politicians would prefer pork barrels and under the table insertions

Hi louievill, can you still breathe? I think my heart is ready to stop beating when I hear the ugly news every day. At EDSA traffic, I do my best to pray only the Joyful and Luminous mysteries because if I pray the Sorrowful, I'd die. The intentions are doubling heavy, as if the four mysteries instead of just one is required for daily prayer. Glad you popped up here, please do the praying for the budget thing and the elections. I will concentrate on the wars and the kababayan in potential peril. Hey, louivill, we can't coil and give up. Hold the line with all your strength.

I hope our countrymen and women were safe in Libya. I am curious what motivated this crusader to cease power. Is election as a tool of democracy no longer working in Syria?

Seizing power in not new to Libya and other Middle East countries. Yemen and Syria are war-torn. The people are of no consequence if one tough man makes it his goal to be in power. Really praying for the quick repatriation of our OFW's
