None Or Other?

Hello, fellow mylotters!! Hope every one is doing well!! I try to make some extra money by doing survey sites and I don't know how to answer some questions that you have the options to answer the question with NONE or OTHER. To, me they are the same answer, because if "none" of the answers apply to the question, you would answer it an "other" way. So, you see NONE or OTHER could mean the same answer!! So, if you were asked a question and none of the answers were correct, you had an other answer what would you answer it with.... NONE or OTHER??? Now, I can see if the option OTHER would then have a drop box where you could put your own answer in, but some times they don't. ~Peace~

Well, none or other really do mean different things. Like, if it were pets. They ask, Do you have a cat, dog, bird, fish, none or other, and you have a pet snake, then you don't have none, you have other.

One of the questions that you may me asked is "do you suffer from any of the following illnesses?". Aside from the list of illnesses, If the options were NONE and OTHER I would choose NONE because I do not suffer from any illnesses. But if I were to suffer from something but it was not on the list then OTHER would be the option to choose. Perhaps this is not the greatest example... But basically, those two choices are not necessarily the same.

The ones I get frustrated with are the ones that DON'T give a NONE or OTHER option to their sometimes stupid questions.

I often find such questionnaires confusing.
