In case you may have misunderstood. When I say Palm Oil Free, I mean to say that no palm oil is in the soap. Because I know that palm oil is not a good thing because turning rain forests into deserts by planting palm trees is a bad idea so say NO TO PALM OIL. If you want natural, organic, palm oil free bar soap, that is one way of doing your part for the natural habitat of planet earth. I maintain, and maintain strongly, that organic is the natural way to go for all things and soap is no exception. Keeping clean and keeping planet earth Green is what organic palm oil - free soap is all about. Do you like organic soaps? I know I will get some just to try it and maybe I will find something I really do like. I agree that going organic as much as possible is important. There are other natural fats that can be used to make organic soap, too. I'm not sure it's wise to depend on one source for anything.

@lookatdesktop I never said you said it was. LOL http://blog.drsquatch.com/benefits-of-coconut-oil-soap/ I just think it's environmentally wise to use several sources/types rather than concentrate on one.

I made all natural soap last year. I loved it and need to make another batch or two. One of the pluses to this is adding your own natural fragrance to the soap.

@lookatdesktop That's the fun part, experimenting with new and different scents. It's always fun to add your own touch too regarding colors and shapes. There are a ton of molds on the market now too.

@kareng , You got that right. I forgot the link but I once had a link to a good article on bar soap. I think you could look for it on a site HubPages. Not exactly sure who the writer was, who makes soap like that, but it was an interesting article. I read it years ago so my memory is not exact on that site.

There are some bar of soaps here. They tend to be natural. However, I have allergies when using them sometimes. But I like the papaya soap.

It also makes me wonder if people also like to make their own homemade candles with scent and colors added. Wow. Interesting subject I just came up with.

@Shavkat I like papaya juice. And certainly if you have allergies to certain scents it is good to know you have some of your own favorites that are both pleasant and do not cause concerns for allergies.

Palm oil comes from rainforests that we DON'T want chopped down. I have no idea why you would endorse this product.

I LOVE organic soaps. I even use organic shampoo bars so I can eliminate the use of plastic bottles where shampoos usually are. I am also interested in making my own soap though I’m not sure yet when to start.

I would think there might be some ideas on Pinterest. They have a lot of interesting articles. I share myLot articles on Pinterest and I think they have lots of arts and crafts and hobby people who post there. Also, Wikihow is a site that tells people how to do projects of many kinds.

@weevee18 , I like shapes myself. Bar soap that looks like a rose for example and also rose shaped candles are both very nice. They can be used for so many different types of gifts. I like the idea of colored soap that looks like sliced fruit and in a glass or porcelain bowl on the bathroom counter or on the kitchen counter. Sometimes ideas flow so easily with me when I am properly inspired.

If you find some good ones let me know. I had to go offline for a day and a half due to computer problems. In short, my PC crashed after a power outage. Not good. But I will be back in action in a few more days after tweaking my computer.

I refuse to buy everything containing palm oil. This horrible ingredient is causing the massive destruction of Amazonian forests and the governments say nothing.

That is the main point of this discussion. I do not know why I failed to get that message across. When I said palm oil free I meant literally NO PALM OIL IN THAT SOAP. And Yea, I agree with you, it is not a good thing to buy anything with palm oil because of what the rain forests in the Amazon are being destroyed for and other things that is totally destructive to the environment and the habitat.

@lookatdesktop I wonder why the authorities do not ban those products. If they do not, people should, if nobody buys, they will stop to produce.

@LadyDuck , I am all in favor of the authorities putting a massive ban on the destruction of the Amazon rain forest by replacing an entire millions of years of evolution habitat that are the lungs of the planet Earth, just to profit off the sale of palm oil. It is not only insane but it is unholy, unethical, impractical and should be deemed illegal to all forms of law. No one, even the 1% should feel they have some right to destroy what is left of the pristine Earth just to make a profit. That is why I support such organizations as 4Ocean and Extinction Rebellion and others for their effort to make people aware of the damage done to earth's ecosystem.

That is good. I know that some soaps leave the skin feeling like there is a soapy residue or worse they dry out the skin too much. What are some of your favorite brands of organic bar soaps may I ask?
