Unpredictable Nature

Every day I enjoy nature in my yard and garden. Especially this time of the year. The bluebirds arrived awhile back. I have their house up for them. But as I have written before, the sparrows (ratbirds) are an evil enemy. They are building rat nests, as they are ratbirds, and I am cleaning them out 2-3 a day.
The bluebirds will not build in a dirty house. That is why I am vigilant at keeping it clean for them.

Today, the pair of bluebirds showed up again, looking very interested. They were even chasing the sparrows away. This is what needs to happen. The bluebirds need to keep them away from the house. So I got all excited.
Now the bluebirds are gone again. And the ratbirds are back. So I just went out, cleaned the rat nest out and left the door open. When I see the bluebirds return I will go back out and close the door, and start all over. Very frustrating. I do this every year but this year seems worse for some reason. The ratbirds are really trying my patience.
Captured this bluebird photo before the ratbirds showed up. This is why I do this, it brings such joy and happiness to see these bluebirds in Dustin's garden.
Hope you all have a great day.

Do you have other houses for the Sparrows?
Now being a landlady I know you should not make any difference in the tenants.

I am not sure what you mean by ratbirds. Our birdbath is an 'open house' All are welcome (lol)

@CarolDM That is really sad. But sparrows here are much wanted birds as they are nowhere to be seen

Sparrows are ratbirds in my world because they build what look like rat nests and they kill my bluebirds that are trying to build. They are a predator and danger to the bluebirds. I don't mean bird bath, I have a bluebird house up for the bluebirds to lay eggs and have babies but they cannot do it with the sparrows coming in.

Those blue birds are so pretty. I didn't realize you had to do so much work keeping their house clean.
