Today my 11 year old nephew told me 8 year old when I told her to tell him he need to wash his hands after touching the ferrets. He told her no when she offered him hand sanitizer telling her his mom said that he is allergic to it and can’t use it. Both me and my husband told him that is impossible it’s hypoallergenic and that nobody is allergic to it. I again told him weather or not he uses it or not he needs to go and wash his hands. He finally did. I know he isn’t allergic to it because I’ve seen him use hand sanitizer many many tomes.

Washing hands with soap and water is still the best way to stay clean.

Yes I know that. We have both in our house. I didn’t charge which he wanted to use I just wanted him to wash his hands after touching the ferrets because they can get you sick or you can get them sick. So it’s important to wash after your done touching them before you touch other things and eat. Hand sanitizer will kill 99% of germs but shouldn’t be used for every wash because it does dry skin outs

You are so right, hand sanitizer is hypoallergenic. I have very sensitive skin, but I use it all the time after I touch the cats of my neighbors.

@LadyDuck yep a lot of animals can get sick from you being sick or the other way around. Ferrets and humsand get the same sickness.

Yes but if you don’t have any hand sanitizer works just as well. We have both on hand at home because of 3 kids.
