Have noticed that a few discussions have been posted more than once here. Happened to one of my discussions yesterday too. I think this is a mylot glitch because I had posted just once. Has anyone else noticed this or am I just seeing double???

I see that @owlwings already explained to you why this may happen.

Yes he did but in my case I had not posted the discussion twice nor was there any problems with my connection then. I think it was a mylot glitch.

This happens from time to time. It is because either the person's connection or the server is slow to respond at times. The post actually goes through but then the server throws an error message or simply takes too long to show the post and the person, thinking that it hasn't worked, sends the post again. Many people, on seeing that it has posted twice, will remove the duplicate or Admin will, if he sees it.

@mayka123 It often happens that different people post very similar discussions, of course. That is simply duplication of interest and nothing to do with any glitch with myLot, of course. It's all to do with the fact that the things which we have at the top of our mind may also be at the top of someone else's mind at the same moment. Of course, breaking news is an obvious case in point but there are many other things, some of which can be inspired by a previous myLot post which both have seen. The phenomenon of collective consciousness can be quite scary sometimes.

When I posted my discussion yesterday the net was fine and I had posted it just once. Someone later pointed out that there are two similar discussions posted. So it may have been a mylot glitch.

@owlwings It was not multiple people posting discussions on the same topic. I had posted a discussion and it appeared twice as two discussions.

I have noticed and have seen some posted 6-7 times duplicated. I hope MyLot fixes this glitch soon. It's annoying.

The most annoying part is we dont know which of the duplicates will be deleted. In the bargain if the one which we have responded to gets deleted we loose!!!

@mayka123 That is true. I've seen the same thing happen with notifications in the last few days. I had the same one on my list about ten times, others 3-4.

You have to delete the other one if it posted a double.

Had you posted it twice or did you post just once and it appeared twice? With me I had posted just once but it appeared twice.
