Been away for a bit, Been busy taking pics

I have been busy for a while.. bought a new camera A Nikon Coolpix p1000 (it has 125x zoom capabilities!).. spending a lot of time getting to know it and loving spring and the new photo opportunities it brings. This is a photo I took a couple weeks ago of a Cedar Waxwing flying overhead from a tree.. How do you like spring? Do you have any cool photos you can share? what have you all been up to lately?

I surely know how excited you must be experimenting with your new camera I too have one and I am having a ball with it. The photo is good.

Enjoying our spring here. Windy and grey one day and then blue and sunny the next. I don't have a camera or a cell so no photos. Sure enjoy yours though.

Thank you... I was super lucky to get it.. would have been luckier if I got all of him in the photo.. but I love the off-center too it's a bit artsy this way!

Cool photo. I imagine you spending some time waiting patiently to take this shot. How close where you and did you use a telephoto lens?

I was in my car about 15-20 feet away and Yes my camera has a Zoom lens. It can go as high as 125x zoom.. but I didn't need nearly that much when they were so close to me.
