500 Words A Day Challenge

I always like to develop the habit of daily journaling, but I always don't have the persistence to do so. I just saw this 500 words a day challenge, created by Jeff Goins. I like the idea of 500 words a day.
I know I have been joining or creating too many challenges for myself. I am trying to find time to do what I really like to do. Perhaps 10 minutes a day for every activity I enjoy doing, or perhaps having a theme day in a week, say writing on Monday, doodling on Tuesday, painting on Wednesday... Well, I am still thinking of that. But if possible, I still like to write everyday. Hopefully I can spend 30 minutes a day to write.
I am planning to at least write on my daily journal, then 1 or 2 posts at Virily and myLot too. Besides finding time to write, I also need to find time to read and respond to others' discussions as well. I guess perhaps I should dedicate a theme day as "myLot day".

I agree with @HazySue and @thelme55. I do like to write almost every day but I don't like to pressure myself into a schedule. I feel I'm setting myself up for failure if I try a challenge. I don't post as much as I should, though. Sometimes the day can get away from me and I'm not online as much as I might like.

As much as possible, I want it my goal to write at myLot and Virily as often as possible. I have never thought of summing up the words, but maybe one of this day I will check on that.

@florelway, my friend, writer in Virily told me that seldom that site pays the writers. How true is this kabayan?

@cacay1 I have not reached the minimum payout of 10 dollars, but last month they had sent payouts. I think it takes sometime before they post your earnings. Mylot is still the most transparent and efficient when it comes to payment scheme.

I love to write and 500 words a day is a good start. They do things slow and build it up. I mostly like write 5000words here just answering other people's discussion. I love doing challenges. But, these days I busy and can't do them. I just don't have time.

Yes, I write pages and pages of journal entries each day. About 5 to 10 pages. I can fill up one notebook in a month. :) Good luck on your project!
