Sri Lanka - who planted the bombs?

The Sri Lankan attacks smell of an inside job. Although Sri Lanka was one of the first counties to experience suicide bombers back in the 1980s in the 25-year Civil War this doesn't feel right to me. The government have quickly blamed the islands most volatile Muslim extremist group for the attacks with little or no evidence, other tna thye are part of the minority Muslim groups. Surely its more likely to be Tamil groups, revenge for the civil war genocide? Outside international Muslim extremist attack seems unlikely and so that leaves the government doing a very unholy deal with the devil to maintain power as another possibility.
President Maithripala Sirisena announced back in December that Ranil Wickremesinghe, with whom he had governed in a fragile coalition since 2015, had been dismissed. In his place he has appointed the former president Mahinda Rajapaksa, the guy who finished off the Tamils in the Civil War with a genocide, the two swapping places in high office all the time there.
Wickremesinghe continued to live in his official residency, while Rajapaksa took control of the prime ministerial office and starting naming a cabinet. Chaos in the country ensued/ Terrorists attacking the Christian population and critical tourist trade spots concentrates minds and the people quickly fall in behind the Prime Minster that can protect them from the new enemy. Rajapaksa brutally ended the Tamil insurgency with genocide and so no qualms about blowing up his citizens and tourists to get back control of his country.

I tend to agree there's something not kosher in this vat of dill pickles. Usually when there's an attack like this terrorist extremists are tripping over themselves to get to a media outlet to claim responsibility. There hasn't been any claims (real or imagined) of responsibility. The government has claimed that they "heard chatter" about the possibility of a mass attack, which puts the government in an unfavorable light, regardless.
I also found it interesting that Sri Lanka has imposed a ban on social media to, as they claim, "stop misinformation." Oh, really?

Personally, I think something is very wrong here. Especially in this time of terrorism and danger why doesn't the government do something when they get threats or warnings. Not right at all. I can only pray for all involved.

This situation is so terrible regardless of who caused it. Why weren't precautions taken if they knew something?

One red flag is that the government had received threats from the terrorist groups but they did not take any action to provide protection for the victims of the tragic events.
