This morning my daughter visited with my grand daughter who I have nicknamed Devil child. As soon as she sees me she is off hollaring but today it smiled at me when she saw me but that was soon to change when my wife handed her over to me. Off she went screaming for attention from her mum. I must say after a while she did settle down and came and sat with me for a while. I told my daughter she will have to do this frequently if we are to look after her when she goes back to work. It is so surprising because the other two were angels in comparison. It was certainly a much calmer visit than previously they came. They came for dinner on Easter Sunday and she was absolutely terrible not only with me but with everyone. She is teething at the moment so I dare say that is not helping. My daughter is becoming quite exaspperated with her as she does not give her a minutes peace. I suggested she just leave her and she will eventually cry herself out. I had to remind her that she was a little like this when she was a baby her scream was deafening she just wanted to be with us all the time but she did grow out of it. They stopped for around 4 hours but it was nice when they went.

I know just how you felt. . She'll be sweet as can be very soon, once her teeth come in. It's so wonderful being a grandparent, and even nicer giving them back to their parents.

I am sure she will turn into a little angel too. I am not that keen on babies anyway I prefer it when they are toddling and I can tease the life out of them!

But it took one night of about 10 hours screaming to get there. She simply learned I wont cuddle and walk all day.

Oh no! I'm sure this stage will soon end. My son Josiah is attached to my hip when at home. We went out for the first time and he stayed with our friend. She said he cried for me one time when he woke from his nap, she gave him his bottle and he was perfect the rest of the time! I was shocked!! I thought sure he would give her trouble without me but he didn't at all! =)

This image is too funny Gary. Some kids are like this, too possessive and they become exasperating. I have a friend who has a young boy like this.

You guys and your nicknames. I had to laugh because this reminded me of the name my husband gave the last stray that came up to our house. He calls her "rat dog." And she has become very attached to him and runs to meet his truck and jumps inside when he opens the door. Too funny.

Oh my, she is a handful, isn't she? She is at that age where she wants nobody but her Mom. My daughter went through that and didn't want to be left alone. I remember one time her father and I had gone out for a while and when we went back to his mother's to pick her up, we were told she cried the whole time. She did eventually grow out of it.

They are your family members. Don't call them visitors. Girls once married doesn't mean visitors. Anyway you had a wonderful time spending with them. That's nice.
