Carnations

Last night my husband came home with a very lovely surprise. He brought me some carnations. They are my favorite flower and they even came in my favorite color purple. I didn’t think he would get me a gift from the store especially today is his birthday and I’m suppose to give him a gift not him a gift for me.
I told him they where lovely and put them in a vase with water. I hope they last a while.

That was very nice of your husband to do, being so thoughtful especially on a day that is supposed to be all about him. What a great guy. The flowers are beautiful!

He hates his birthday and holidays. He has lots of bad memories. I try to replace with more pleasant ones if I can. It was a very nice thought. Too bad I couldn’t make a cake this time. Next year he has plans for his birthday already. Apparently we are going to a night club for the weekend. I’m all for that!

@ShyBear88 Although I love holidays, I'm not a big fan of my birthday. Not because of anything bad or anything, just because who wants to celebrate getting older and one more year closer to the grave? I certainly don't. I decided to freeze my age at 30, so every year I get a cake with candles that say 30. It's the little things that make me happy! LOL

@ShyBear88 I started getting gray hairs in my late 20s. I think it was from all those times as a kid that I was a total worry-wart!
