Our Lunch Out was a BUMMER

My goal this week (or I should say one of my goals) was to get hubby out of the house. He has fallen into a routine of sleeping, watching television and eating, and then more sleeping. So we planned lunch out today since I needed to go to the next town over anyway for a few errands.
I gave my husband the choice of what he wanted to eat and he chose Mexican food which was fine with me. We decided on El Dorado. We have eaten there before and liked it. We have one being built right now in our town so another reason to go check it out.
My husband ordered enchiladas, 2 beef and 1 cheese. I ordered a trio which included a taco, a beef burrito and an enchilada.
Our plates arrived and we dug in. A few minutes later I realized I did not have an enchilada at all. I had a burrito and another type of rolled thingie with ground beef inside. The burrito was all ground meat. Nothing else. It may have been better if the meat was seasoned bit it had no taste to me. I added salsa to everything I ordered to make it have a little taste.
My husband said his enchiladas were okay. He ended up giving me his cheese enchilada because I couldn't finish my burrito. I have to say that the chips and salsa were the best part of the meal. And that isn't saying much.
I sure hope that our location does a better job than this. I still write reviews online and don't mind leaving a negative review for places that don't hit the mark.
Does anyone else have an El Dorado Mexican restaurant in their area? Is the food good there or not?

I should have but I had already eaten a good deal of it. If I had been alone or with someone else I would have sent it back. My hubby gets upset if I send anything back. He thinks they spit on the new dish or whatever to get back at the customer. I know...eyeroll.

No, we do not have El Dorado restaurants. I have not heard of them. I know of six towns in the US named El Dorado, though.
Our current favorite Mexican restaurant is a little mom and pop type place that is very good. Our husbands could be twins as far as their routine goes.

I have never been to an El Dorado. Sorry, your meal was not so good. Almost sounds like they were making the food from package meals and not doing a good job of it.

We don't have an El Dorado, but some mexican restaurants are definitely better than others.

I'm not sure if we do; we don't eat Mexican food.

No, I did not. It embarrasses my husband and since I had already eaten half of it before I realized I didn't get my enchilada, I just let it go. He is of the opinion that if you complain that they will spit on your food or do something else disgusting to it when sending it back out.
