My dining room

Most of you know that recently I bought new furniture to my dining room.
This is a picture of how it looks now.
The rug is an old one but as I haven't found yet the one I want I decided to use this while I search for the ideal one. I prefer not have something than buy things that I don't like. 
That is why I haven't bought the curtains yet (it isn't possible to see the window in the picture).
There are other things that I want to change here and others that I still need to buy but are only minor things because I like open spaces, besides that it is easier to clean

@nela13 Your husband is planning to hang the mirror, I guess. That would look great. I think the lamp is adorable and it balances out the tall plant.
I think the space under the stairs looks good the way it is, but if you wanted to get creative, you can get artsy. Perhaps glass floating shelves (or clear lucite) with all the same color candles in different heights and shapes (even battery operated candles) would look pretty, especially when all lit.

Thank you so much, it is not yet as I want but I think it looks nice already.
