Spring Has Sprung!

It's been a while but I'm back! I've had so much going on but I did find time to take a few photos. As some of you know I complete surveys to bring a little bit of money into the household and, as luck would have it, I've had five high paying surveys which comprise of me completing daily diaries - frozen food, ladies' underwear(!), two relating to lifestyle and one regarding dishwasher tablets. Obviously I love taking photographs and I'm happy to upload photos of my frozen food, the contents of my dishwasher but I drew the line at being asked to upload a photo of my knicker drawer!!! As the title of this discussion states, Spring has sprung here in Spixworth so I've been trying to get my garden in order. I've been weeding and feeding my lawn and sprinkling organic chicken manure on my flower beds and around my fruit bushes - just hope the smell didn't offend my neighbours! I'm now hardening off some lupin plants and a passion fruit and I've planted up begonias and dahlias but, as the weather's not yet reached ice cream and iced gin and tonic temperatures I've covered them in clear plastic to keep them nice and cosy. I save all plastic that I receive from various products I've bought and find a use for them somewhere around the garden. We're all aware that we need to stop using plastic but, if I do receive it, I ensure it's well used before disposing of it. The thing that actually got me motivated to work on my garden was the beautiful hawthorn and gorse blossom out in the meadow. Couldn't resist taking a picture to share with MyLot. Now I'm going to have a sort through the rest of my photos and set up a few more discussions.

It comes and goes here. I wish it would just stay.

The hawthorn/May is blooming here too, there's a big bush at the bottom of the road that we walk under on the way to school, the scent really says 'spring'!
