Lowes' Garden Center Clearance: Score!

We had to stop at Lowe's last Friday to get a replacement bulb for the motion sensor light outside. While my husband went to get the bulb, I decided to go to the Garden Center. This location always has a ton of plants and flowers on clearance. They keep them in the back of the Garden Center. However, on this day, I noticed some racks in the parking lot along with other regular stock plants. I made my way over there to check it out. They had all kinds of perennials, annuals, fruit trees and other plants all on clearance. I managed to find some daylilies in a peach color for only $1.00 each. I picked up a couple. I've seen the Stella daylilies which are the standard yellow on clearance before but never other pretty colors. I'm looking forward to some pretty blooms later this summer. Now I just need to figure out where to plant them.

Yes, I will have to stop back by this week when I am over that way running errands. I've been working in the yard so much, what is a little more work?

@Janet357 Yes, that is the regular price of pasta here. Sometimes you can get it even cheaper on sale. As for plants, it all depends on where you buy them.

@kareng I am not sure if the new management here will allow that.

@ScribbledAdNauseum These are super easy to grow. Basically put them in the ground, water after planting and that's about it.

@crazyhorseladycx That is very true. It seems like a lot of the plants there do not get watered as needed. I noticed that they had orchids on the clearance rack the other day for $7.00. I didn't get any. I bought one before and didn't manage to keep it alive so another day...ha.

@crazyhorseladycx I would have more time for it now, but just wasn't willingto commit to the time involved. I have too many things going on right now.

@kareng dang, they ne'er 'put 'em fer 75% off here. 'll not e'en bargain with ya if'n ya take the whole lot. they say they'd rather throw'em 'nto the dumpster (which ya aint 'llowed to go dumpster divin'...). 'f course, if'n they watered 'em proper'n didn't put thingies that clearly say "shade only" out'n our full sun, they'd not kill so many. always saddens me to see 'em perish.

@DianneN Still trying to figure that part out. Have that thing going on with the hubby with his mad mowing and cutting things down. I just lectured him yesterday for cutting down an oak thee that I planted and staked last year. He denied it. LOL

Yes, I think so :) You better wait until I plant them for the "Good Job" I still have a red tipped something in a container that has been there for 2 years. I just told hubby I need to plant it. Hopefully, if we miss rain on Friday I can do it then. Maybe tomorrow :)
