Ben Watson and I have established quite the personal relationship. He's the fella who always winds up in my SPAM folder, but has been of great service to me. He has cured my ED, lowered my blood pressure, informed me about monies owed to me that I wasn't aware of, and sent me several surveys to fill out, for which I will receive gift cards worth $100.
Here's the latest:
Thank you for your recent purchases! As a thank you, we would like to offer you a $100 Walmart Gift Card for participating in our online survey. Your feedback helps us constantly improve our customer service.
Please complete our short survey to receive your gift card.

My question: What would happen if I actually clicked on that link? Would a Pandora's Box of viruses swirl around my computer? Would they be able to gather information about me to sell to other SPAMmers? Would my anti-virus program (Norton I think) catch everything?
Inquiring minds want to know? Who are the computer experts around here? @Owlwings, @DaddyEvil, and @JolietJake come to mind.
Have you ever accidentally opened one of those links?

I have opened them before, but my antivirus blocks them instantly if it detecs anything fishy. My antivirus is ESET, it is one of the best.

@TheHorse Well, it doesn't give me like a report, it just blocks the pops-up, or the fishy site, and tells me why it blocked it. But no major information on it, so far it's worked fine. I used to use Norton Antivirus, but I guess it's a little outdated now.

@jvicentevalera I don't know if I'm "up to date" or not.

If you have never bought anything from this individual, it sounds a bit dodgy to me. If he's prepared to offer you 100 bucks for your 'feedback', then it must have been something pretty substantial you bought - say of the order of $2,000 to $5,000. Personally, I think I'd remember doing that.
Who's to say what nasty secrets he's really offering. If your 'inquiring mind' is so itchy to find out, make sure that you have a very secure sandbox (or a computer that you don't much care for) and open the link in that.
