Thinking and Drinking...Coffee

I seem to be stuck on the subject of coffee today. My mind just keeps coming back to it. I can't think, I have a hard time writing, and my hand keeps reaching for a cup of coffee. It looks like I am really addicted to it. It's a good thing it is half caf. If it was regular coffee I would be dancing across the floor. I just made some macaroni salad with chopped tomatoes, boiled eggs, onions, green peppers, and mayo. Sooooo...tonight's dinner will be that and left over pork roast. Can't wait. The sky is filling with gray clouds and they are covering the sun. It is rapidly becoming more and more overcast. It looks like it will rain soon. How is it going in your neighborhood?

Love the stuff. I wonder why they didn't come up with the slogan "the pause that refreshes". Maybe they would have if Coke didn't come up with it first.

i marvel 't folks like yerself who partake'n that coffee schtuff. jest the smell 'f 't makes me quite ill, lol. yer supper sounds yummy! please send the rain here - no hail, please. bright 'n shiny like a new copper penny here with 'bout a 15mph wind (relatively calm fer these parts this time 'f year). birds 're signin' horses 're currently nappin' 'n the pup snores 't my feet.

@HazySue I'm sure that's true. A friend has given up regular coffee as it causes palpitations so we're thinking it might be better for Vince if we had decaf.

@JudyEv One of the reasons we switched to half caf was to lower the intake of caffeine and lower the risk of palpitations. SO far it seems to have worked.

It doesn't seem to have the zing of regular coffee. With half caf you still get a touch of tingle.

Coffee giving you writer's block? Write about the coffee. lol Macaroni salad and pork sounds good; but hold the onions on my portion. Things are going OK. Just doing some writing.

I have my coffee sitting next to me as well. But it don't get me up and going lol..just like the flavor. Your dinner sounds very good. And it's raining like always.

I'm like that with tea. I find the ritual of making a 'cuppa' concentrates the old brain box and the hot liquid lubricates the thinking processes. Well, for me it does!

I like tea also. Right now my favorite tea is called Stressless. It is made of cinnamon, chamomile, and Lavender and is caffeine free. It is also delicious.

Going ok so far. Bird watching and getting things done inside. Nice weather and sunshine today. I love coffee but only drink one cup a day. Your salad sounds delicious.
