Celebrating Morons

I was surfing around the net last night and see a lot of articles on this thing they call Met Gala. I'm sure I have heard of it before and I'm sure I never paid it any attention. A bunch of rich people having another gathering that the media covers way to much. For me it is another excuse for rich and famous people to say hey look at me, I'm important. I still don't understand how so many people care what these people do. They are a bunch of morons like most everyone else the only difference is they are on TV and have lots of money. This does not mean they are any better or have any more class then the rest of us. This one is a little different, at least they are not giving each other awards for doing what they get paid to do. This one is for raising money for some costume institute, what ever that is. It's a bunch of people paying way to much money ($30,000) to attend this thing and dress up in ridiculous looking outfits. I guess I just will never understand the publics obsession with celebrities. I'm much more impressed with the man or woman who puts it all on the line for next to nothing and becomes a fireman/woman, a police officer, or joins the military. Doctor and nurses who do everything they can and work ridiculous hours to take care of the sick. Those are the people who we should put on a pedestal and have none stop award shows for not the morons in the reality TV shows and the movie business. Alright I'm done venting about this. Hope you all enjoy your day.

I saw the spectacle that was Lady Gaga at that event. And she wants to be taken seriously as an artist?
