Went out in the yard with my camera for a little while. The temperatures starting heating up. So I came in to share what I found.
One of the bird nests I found yesterday seems to be abandoned. But sometimes birds will return and re-use the same nest. There is a robin still sitting on one nest in the pine tree. And two of the three blackbirds still have babies in the nest.
Then I saw this tiny purple wildflower growing on my fence. I had to check it out. And this is what I found from the US Wildflower database...
Venus’ Looking Glass is a small annual that you might find growing in dry woods and open fields during the summer months. The deep violet blue color of the flower will catch your eye, even though the plant is short (10-20 inches high) and the leaves and flowers are very small.
After comparing photos, I am confident this is the same flower. It grows from seeds. So I will collect the seeds and plant it int he garden and see what happens. If it starts to take over I will just pull it out. Wildflowers and most weeds are such beautiful flowers in my opinion.

Have you seen this flower before? It is so tiny I had to use the macro lens.

Don´t have this flower around here at least.
Very tiny blue flowers are around like Baby Blue Eyes.
Great photo.

I love them too.
I cannot find the photo I have of those tiny flowers I mentioned as they are in another computer.

No, but it is a lovely color and a great shot. I purchased some purple petunias in a hanging basket. It is really overflowing with flowers. I may plant some in the yard.

. Pretty little flower, though. Weeds can be extremely beautiful too, I saw many amazing flowering plants that most people call weeds
.
