This is an animal which I never knew of until the college days and when I found them to be pretty interesting when I came to know about them. I have never seen any of them in real life yet but would like to see one. They are the offspring from the crossbreeding of a lion and a tiger more specifically, male lion as its father and a tigress as its mother. You can look up what a lioness and a male tiger offspring is if you don't know by any chance. Have you seen such a beast in virtual or even in real life? Image:liger.com

@WiseGhots I thought the picture to be photoshopped the first time I saw them.

@Sojourn Exactly. They should do more to save the original species.

I don't feel I would want to see this beast. I feel a little strange about crossbreeding.

I find it perverse to create such hybrids. What for?

Yes, they can have genetic abnormalities.

@Sojourn Such hybrids can't have offspring, so that wouldn't be a problem as far as I understand it.

i've seen them in the news..but they have a problem with liger/tigon crossings..the genetic marker that tells them when to stop growing is turned off-so they end up HUGE.
