Have been in the screen room most of the morning with coffee and cats listening to the rain fall on the metal roof. Almost like being at my Grandmother's house. Great memories.
We have rain falling since last night. And for the next three days, rain will fall. But I am ok with it, may as well be, right! The flowers, grass and trees need the rain to grow.
Brendel and the Dude hanging out on the table in the screen room What a life!
I will get some things done inside I have neglected. A donation box to Goodwill is at the top of my list. I have lots of clothes and other items that need a good home. I know there are many out there who need these things I will never use.
Do you donate? Makes you feel good to help others right?

I know at least here the items donated to the boxes go to a thrift store who sells things.
So, instead we go to motels where we have been homeless before and needed things-then we know the families that are without are really being helped. =)
We love thrift stores and all-just our preference to know people are getting help for free.

Yes, I donate. I have some books in the car to donate right now. I was in town yesterday, and should have done it, but I ended up doing a bunch of un related errands.

Lovely shot.
I have a huge pile I need to work on but I've been busy with cleaning up the yard, last year I couldn't do a lot of the things I had wanted to but now that I've healed I'm back at it and naturally there's a lot of stuff out there I need to tend to.

You will notice that everytime you give away for charity, you will gain a momentery joyful mood inside you...meaning its a good omen spiritually...moreover "givers never lacks", "Who gives, to him will be given", "God loves a shareful giver", " blessed is the hand that giveth, than the one that taketh", as they said! I think we should try to be a giver because we took nothing into the world and will took nothing out of this world!

If we have stuff and we can't sell it then it goes to the donation at the local thrift store.

I have a great big pink bin but the last time I noticed... hubby had been adding stuff that I want to keep. He didn't realize what the box was for!!

I am doing this too, I want to reduce stuff by half this year. Someone here reminded me to donate books and magazines to the nursing homes, that is an awesome idea, I used to many years ago.

Every year we give 6-12 boxes to Goodwill or the Salvation Army. I like to help others; but I also like to purge all the "stuff".
