Rebellious electronics!

After dinner last night I was doing the washing up. I always used to listen to the radio as it was the simplest option, but since I started avoiding the news I have had to give it up, so I put a CD on instead. After a bit I took a break to go and read the girls some bedtime stories. When I got back to finish the dishes, I pressed ‘play’ on the CD player, but all I got was a rebellious response – the machine simply said ‘no’ and refused to do anything! It looks like it's reading from USB instead of from a CD.

@Fleura I don't have this kind of CD Player, if I don't hold it myself then I can't know the problem. I guess there is a Mode Button to play between CD/USB.

I don't understand why because it was part way through playing a CD and I didn't change anything apart from pressing 'stop'!

Sometimes it depends from the CD, not the player. If it's an old player, it is very possible it does not read the new CD. By the way, what you see is a 00, one led is burnt. And it is set on USB, of course it does not play the CD.

It did before though - all I did was press the 'stop' button when I went upstairs and the 'play' button when I came back! I didn't change the CD or move any other controls.

@Fleura This is weird, it is very possible that there is a malfunctioning.

It happened to me, too. Try to change the cd with another cd. Maybe it will function again.

I turned it off and on again (that old tech support standby!) and that taught it a lesson : 0

@Fleura I had one of those you have in the picture. I gave it away because I really do not need it anymore and have no more CD's.
