In this digital platform, many things are developed in term of softwares, some so called social media, It is not surprise to know or learn that how digital platforms are being used by the creators. There are many good or bad one, depending on your demands. Now recently I have come across roasting term, what I have understood from the channel and video is some kind of mockery someones activity with fun way, and sometimes its looks like its goes beyond the expectation, Sometimes its looks, a person is angry on the other creator and again, its looks like its been done for more subscribers or gaining more viewers. i am not sure how to put it together again. MY understanding about roasting was roasting of meat or any vegetables and a process in metallurgy in which a sulfide ore is heated in air. The process may convert a metal sulfide to a metal oxide or to a free metal according to science. Example: Roasting ZnS may yield ZnO . But Actually roasting is media is something that kind of bullying type again, cyber bullying that too humiliation in public, social media platform. But on the other hand I found, many viewers enjoys it, If this case, Can owner of the roasted creator considering as a credit or defaming in order to develop better. it also said because of this act, some creator get hates or dislikes. Similarly, Sarcasm seems "Ability to insult a person without realizing it". wow what is this. I think, this has been practice normally day by day Now, I am quite doubtful, how you-tubers are taking this levels so as meme creators too What do you say about this act ?

I know sarcasm is appreciated sometimes, and is not actually considered as bullying. May be insulting someone right on the face is something that is justified. As far as social media and memes are considered, that's a different level all together and people consider that as part of humor.. Personally, I am quite against all, and any kind of insult is an insult, whether the person understands or not

Understanding within the lines is very important. My experience with particular group was incredible, these groups never say anything direct but say load within the sarcastic statement.

Maybe it is considered the same as like roasting celebs for lifetime achievements? It's funny, humorous and all in fun?

Yes, mostly in youtube , I believe it for fun but on the other hand it seems to be direct criticism for correction

it can be an intimidating way to subject someone to relentless criticism - it can be cruel

Agreee with you, it is kind of direct criticism for correction as well as cruel. A receiver needs to be strong enough

I haven't encountered it yet. But you mention it as form of cyber bullying. It's more like to mean it. It implies to "roast" a person online by irritating him, issuing things out of his making until he yields. I don't if am right.
