Is Your Toaster Worth Toasting?

MyLot Exclusive #183 I purposely saved this one for Sunday because it involves toasting and I know that most of you are having champagne with your brunch and maybe a little vodka or gin on the side in your Bloody Mary. More specifically, it involves toasting your toaster (If it is worth toasting but you'll probably do it anyway even if it isn't) and yeah, I could have posted this in the morning on any of the other six days and you could do it with your ordinary plain orange (I know you're drinking Mimosa's right now, which is champagne and orange juice) or tomato juice but it wouldn't be nearly as good. So pour yourself another glass of champagne or make another Mimosa or Bloody Mary. Just in case. Now, It's time to ask yourself this question, "Am I happy with my toaster?" If the answer is yes, toast your toaster! Then watch the video at the bottom. OK, now that you've watched the video, ask again, "Am I happy with my toaster?" Or would you rather have the ancient primitive toaster in the video (After the cord has been replaced with a modern one that is less likely to burn down your house)? I don't know you're going to answer those questions (I'm just a Prophet, not a Fortune Teller) but I do know you should have another glass of champagne now. Because brunch is still the main event, the toaster questions are just an interesting sideshow, and your bacon will taste better with a champagne chaser. ((I'm done now except my lawyers insist on me saying that this post was not sponsored or endorsed by any champagne, vodka or gin producing concern and/or groups of said concerns, their agents, promotional bodies or their designated subsidiaries and/or agents. Not as far as you'll ever be able to prove in court, anyway, so just drop it)) The Antique Toaster that's Better than Yours

I've seen this toaster in action but never bought one myself. I remember telling myself I wanted one. However, the next time I went to the store for a toaster, it was a standard toaster. I remember my grandmother had a toaster like this.

I bet a lot of people are going to remember seeing these in action. Especially since they were sold until 1997.

@just4him Yeah, it would just be taking up a lot of valuable space.

@xander6464 You're right. I'd say I wish I had one like it, but I don't eat bread anymore so it would be useless on my counter.

I am not very happy with my toaster, because it is a 4 slice and right now only one side is working. It is in the replacement mode.

That is an annoying sign that it's time to get a new one.

Don't remember the last time I used a toaster--I use a grill, a microwave and/or hold it out in the Florida sun!

You can fry an egg or bake a pizza on the sidewalk, too. You people barely need kitchens.

If it wasn't for Eggo's I don't think I'd use mine at all.

Well, that's one vote for modern toasters. You should celebrate by having more champagne.

@xander6464 I have not used a toaster in ages. I have a toaster oven if want to toast things I put it in there. I have regular breakfast. I drink hot chocolate and no vodka or champagne for me at all.
