This may not be the best (quality - coulda been a better angle) picture, but some of you will recognize this. Do you? Yeah, we went there today. We also hopped on the parkway and went all the way to Roanoke. I did an imaginary wave to all the Virginian Mylotters. It was a very rainy day, and so perhaps not the best for going down the parkway (Blue Ridge Parkway) but we did have times when it wasn't raining. Do you recognize this photo? If you ever watched The Andy Griffith show you should. This is a little replica of the sheriff's office. I have another picture of one of the cells. We got to do a squad car tour of the town, including where Andy Griffith's childhood home was. It was a fun day. How was your Sunday?

@Babino Oh okay. Well The Andy Grifith Show is an older show. It's sort of a popular show, or was. I went to the museum dedicated to the man, he was born in a town only about an hour away from me.

Luckily it didn't rain during our squad car tour. We saw a wall cloud of in the distance when we were on the Blueridge Parkway.

Oh my gosh . . . I wasn't really sure but The Andy Griffith show was my guess - cool! So was this like a center dedicated to the Andy Griffith/the show?

@ScribbledAdNauseum Blab away, I don't mind . That'd be fun to go to . . . we grew up watching The Andy Griffith Show - so that'd be quite nostalgic for us!

@much2say If you ever do come to visit, you should either drive down or rent a car and then go on the Blue Ridge Parkway.

I only live about 40-45 minutes from his hometown. They have a museum up there and an individual business that does squad car tours of the town. The squad car tour was fun but it didn't focus a lot on Andy Griffith. We did get to see where he lived though. I have two more pictures I might share in another post (probably not related to this as there's not much more to say) but I don't know when I'll share it. The museum had the actual set props from the sherriff's office, but there was a little building right next to the squad car tours that was set up exactly like the set sherrif's office and that's where i took this picture. The actual set props were behind glass, obviously. Sorry, here I am blabbing on!

Sounds like you had a good day. We had a meal out and then just chilled in front of the telly, although I did have a manic cleaning session at one point.

That manic cleaning session will happen for me today. It did rain a lot. We ended up driving from NC to VIrginia on the Blue Ridge Parkway, and had to deal with rain nearly the whole time.

It was a good day for me writing another Wordgirl/Miraculous Ladybug crossover on Archive of Our Own which only received two readers today.

As long as you had fun doing it, that's all that really matters. Two readers is still a good amount, especially on a day like today.

Yeah, I did. Yeah, his hometown isn't too terribly far from me, which is where we went today.

@ScribbledAdNauseum Yes, I watched The Andy GRiffith show. That was so long ago. I do not remember this but believe you when you said that it was from the show.
