Google wished me ‘Happy Birthday’ today

Please stop! Before wishing a ‘Happy Birthday’ please read it further. Today is not my birthday. But I received wishes from my bank then from google as well. Reason, today is my official birthday, which means; on records my birthday is on May 17. I know all of you are wondering what I am trying to convey. In our state, Academic year starts in the month of June. So school admission taking place in the month of May. That time admission procedures were, simply reach school with the child then meet headmaster and fill an application form the procedures are over. My father would have given the date of birth as the day he gone to take admission for me. The rule on age, the child must have completed 5 years before June to get admission on 1st standard. So giving a date of birth prior to the actual one was necessary to get the admission. A logical thing would have done by any parent. In fact, I never feel on this day as my birthday even though I do get wishes officially. Thanks for reading. Do you have more than one birthday in a year? Image by google, provided for me, on keeping the cursor on it, I got the wishes.

This was confusing to me. The essence is that your birthday is not today?

@lovinangelsinstead21 I born in a village dear, there was no such facilities to register the time of birth. But now the registration will done by hospitals by themselves. So there won't be any second thought.

@Sreekala Never mind where I was born you had to register the birth of a baby the next day almost so I had not thought of any other really.

Usually official birthday comes prior to original but in your case it is opposite.

My husband has two birthdays for a similar reason. My father in law confused his birth date with his elder brother ( side effects of having five children)

@arunima25 Usually mothers are very particular on remembering the dates and time. Your mother in law can't remember her birth date?

@Sreekala You know at least they remember his birth date later. But for their elder daughter ( my sister in law) they just remember that she was born a day before Diwali. So we just celebrate her official birthday in November.

So your parents advanced your birthday so you can be admitted to school? Did it not affected your other legal documents?

There won't be any problem as I write everywhere this official birth date. The age proof I am using the 10th certificate.

@Sreekala Yes, I have Jewish and have a English birthday and a Hebrew one. So, if I cannot celebrate my English one for some reason I can still celebrate my Hebrew one.

I understand that term as well. In that way too we get two birthdays, one is according to the star but it comes in the same month with some difference. In our native state we celebrate birthday on the day 'particular' star falls on the date. Things are changing quickly and now every one wish to celebrate the birthday according to English calendar, as it is easy to remember the date.

@hereandthere I have two birthdays. There are times that when my English birthday comes I cannot celebrate it for various reasons and so then my Hebrew birthday can be celebrated all the time. It falls far enough away from my English birthday.

Sort of the same thing happened to my mom. My grandma told her that there was a mistake in her certificate of birth, they put she was born on April 22nd, when she really was born on April 25th. Every now and then I get confused with my mom's official birthday. It's kind of the same like you haha :(
