They were showing a picture of this Marine. Was to our leaders, not my leaders, their leaders, which is why comment so funny. Obviously at one time, but they were degrading not teaching and she called them out. This fool who says he is an E 6 which is pretty high. Its middle in scheme of things but actually serving it takes some years to get there. Can be done in 5 years or so if you one of those motivated Marines. Usually they on average about 10 to even 20 years in for average for that rank. If 20 years and do not get promoted they boot you out. I got NCO and I did not even play by the rules. There are tests, written ones you supposed to submit to get NCO which is E 4 in Marines and one day they just called me out.Had about two months left before I was to be discharged. You are promoted to corporal. How the hell did that happen? Someone liked me. I was actually invited to the meritorious board, which is normally good, means your higher ups are impressed with you. I am like getting out, why? My Gunny even came to my barracks room, and was hammered off my ass. Sorry Gunny getting out, appreciate it, but I do not see the point. That was hard even wasted. Then I still get promoted to corporal. How in all hell did that happen? I am so off the point. Anyway her comment was so funny. "I’m a civilian, so go f yourself SSgt." He brings up her asvab score and how she was booted. Maybe staff seargent did deserve that comment I am like I would not even say that, but I hate that group shame. One of the reasons I did get out.

It does take time to move up the ranks, even in the Navy. My late X never advanced to E6 though he PNA'd every test. They didn't need the rank in his rating. So, he was passed over every time. Congratulations on making the grade even though you were getting out.

Indeed, my favorite was the ones that made it right on the border every time. Most get booted at the rank of Staff Sergeant and Gunny in the Marines. Hard to get further than that as it is a small rank and file. Imagine officers even tougher in the Marines.

Never been in the military. It might have been good for me for all I know.

I think its great for people, just do not make a career out of it. Nah, do respect most of the ones, half the ones that made a career out of it. Many bad leaders but at same time, just as many good leaders.

Marine training is an easy task. It requires a lot energy and your body should be fit in any activities.
