I Finally Got Out For a Walk Today

Sundown on Charolais Trail in Paso Robles

It was wonderful! It's been a long time. I have felt glued to my computer. This morning I had a terrible time waking up. I felt as though I'd been sedated. I wasn't hungry. I accomplished very little except cleaning up the kitchen and fixing a healthy salad for lunch. Got no writing done -- just reading and networking. I needed fresh air and exercise. So I left as the sun was beginning to go down. The photo shows the view I had of the sunset on the trail which runs behind our tract. It's no longer safe to walk the river trail at this time of night. Last week I didn't get anything published on Medium because life kept hitting me with things that depleted my energy and time. (Although I did finish a post for Bookworm Buffet and a post for Review This.) I also got enough of my new website done to start linking to it. This new blog is devoted to my writing and where to find it on various sites. I'll try to also list it by subject, but only the best work. Sometimes it's better not to neglect your own sites totally to spend all your time on what appears to be more profitable. The new site also lists the links to all my social media profiles. When I googled myself I found me in places I didn't even know about. But that's a story for another day. I'm using the new site link now on my social profiles, including here. I added it here a few days ago.

Awesome photo. I have backed off on writing for pennies, I want to live more than sit inside all day. I am glad that its working out for you.

I don't blame you. But we are in very different situations and stages of life.

@wolfgirl569 I'm about to try a walk now and hoping those dark clouds wait until I'm back inside before spilling their contents.

@bagarad It helps a lot. I love warmer weather, it is so much easier to get outside.

@amitkokiladitya I haven't been walking as much as usual these past few months, but I'm motivated again. I just found out it can help prevent dementia.

I'm always busy one place or another. Sometimes I even get some housework done. But not often enough.

@YrNemo I try not to wait so long as that, but when I can't find something I get more motivated than usual.

what a glorious sunset! Life often forces us to change to support the habit that is writing!

It was pretty good considering there weren't many clouds last night. And you are right about that writing habit.

@DocAndersen Right! It's frustrating to have ideas when you don't have time to write or share.

@bagarad it fills us with both desire (write and share) and frustration (I can't share today)!

Getting from from this darn contraption and stretching those legs and breathing some fresh air is the best cure.

I ended up doing alot more walking than planned. First thing was to trim the garden, the grass has shot up. Barely got started when my strimmer gave up the ghost. Had to walk to the superstore and get a new one. They have certainly gone up in price since I got my last one and there are a lot more warnings on them!

My husband has had a similar experience with ours. Fortunately he did not have to walk as far as you did to fix it since he had a car available.

Yes, days of being glued to your pc may cause lethargy. Now, in our ministry, i got tired from climbing stairs and i had been bed-ridden for a week due to stomach flu. This is a beautiful view to walk through. Did you just walk all by yourself?

I'm sorry. I hope you are over your flu now. Unfortunately I do have to walk by myself. My husband has trouble walking very far or very long. With the walks give me a bit of solitude and I soak up the beauty.

Walking puts in a place where I can think without disturbance. The exercise makes my brain more productive when I get back home.
