You ask of me to snub this guy
You ask of me to shun him because he is shy
You ask of me to speak and say he was and is no good
Shame on you for asking me such a thing
Shame on you for thinking that to your nest I would fly

He was my friend shy with a stammer and all you see
All my own words and they asked me to speak badly about one of my school friends ages after we had all left school and I said that indeed I would not and not make fun of him.
I did not and do not care what his condition is he was my friend that goes with the speech problem he had I did not see it as a problem that was their own stuff not mine.

A few I imagine will try to hide their speech problems but he could not and there was also another one like him too in the Class but he was better considered and I liked him too although we were not friends like I was with the other one.

I could not bear to speak badly about him.
Its none of the other one´s business to ask me in the first place.
He was one of my best friends I had then we shared a love of steam trains then.
His Uncle used to see us across a main road to go and see the steam trains of before that were on British Railways.
A friend is a friend.
