It will be my Fault

I shared this on a closed FB page about minimalism and simpler living. It sort of shows why I am in this mess. I gave away a rain poncho that was still in the package, never used. It was here for several years and I endured many storms since I bought it. Then I started thinking that we will have major rain and it will be my fault for giving it away.

I agonize over each thing I get rid of. Tried on a dress today thinking I should get rid. Nope. Back in the closet

If you know you should get rid of it, do it. It makes the next thing easier.

@paigea If you replace them, only buy things that can be worn together and make you look fantastic. Then you can get rid of anything that doesn't.

@akalinus True. But I got rid of a couple of other things this week. One thing I realized searching my closet for something business casual to wear, I have got rid of random things as they got too big and nothing makes an outfit.

That is one reason why I do not throw away things. I may need them one day (lol)

So where is the problem now? You never used it even when you had storms, let it go.

@LadyDuck Yeah, then when the storm is done, I can just toss the bag.

You are right. Usually, ponchos are too hot or the wind blows them to balloons or the rain gets inside. I can always cut some holes in a large garbage bag if I really need a poncho.

I put it on the free shelf in the laundry. I'm afraid to see if someone took. If it is still there, I might bring it home again.

@akalinus I highly appreciate you for giving away the poncho to someone who perhaps needed it more.If there is a heavy downpour, you can buy a new one.

@Shivram59 They won't know who gave it. I put it on a free table where anyone can leave things or take what they need.

Never regret it. You have made someone happy. Besides and I know you can afford to get another one, rain poncho. I know you're generous and helpful. Don't worry for it's more blessed to give than to receive. Have a blessed Sunday.

I should get rid of the poncho I never wear. Got it for my son when he was doing a rural paper route. I do not wear it, Bob does not wear it, but here it is all rolled up.

Everyone will blame me for the rain. Someone in Thailand said that I caused monsoon rain there.

I'm giving away a skirt suit that I only wore once. I don't like how the jacket is made. The buttons are in the inside of the jacket. The skirt is too tight now.

That's why I hesitate giving things away, thinking I might need it.

I don't know who took it from the free shelf. But if I see someone wearing a yellow poncho, well all bets are off.
