At The Homestead

I did not leave the homestead at all today and that felt good, no, better than good, it felt extremely comfortable.
It felt relaxed, felt real if that makes any sense to you.
First I cleaned up the new basil plant, plucked the big leaves off and onto the tray to dry. Basil is one of my favorite herbs. I placed the dry mint in a mason jar, labeled with date, meaning year.
After letting the dogs out I got on the riding mower and mowed the entire place, taking one break to check on Tony and feed him. Then I pulled out the push mower and did the backyard for the dogs.
I put an eggplant in the garden.
I planted more sunflowers and lavender. I also planted gourds, green beans and cucumbers down at the old greenhouse skeleton, hoping they will use it to climb.
I picked more mint for the homemade insect repellent.
I took a cool bath, ate dinner and now I am resting with a cup of coffee.
But earlier I did wash the jars to make jelly, who knows I still have "get up and go" so I may make a batch tonight.
Now I do have to say, mowing with the rider takes time but ts not difficult at all.

I took a dear friend out for pedicures and lunch and then she took me on a tour of her garden, she has been planting lots of things. It was a lovely day.

Well, we know that we got the house, but don't know any details as the guys was busy, today and just texted my husband's friend. I am going to have a lot of work to do. I am so glad, you felt relaxed. Hopefully soon I will be telling you of my herb garden.

My day was simple as well. I did have to run a few errands earlier today, but for the most part, I stayed home. Home is always relaxing. It is the best place to be when you want to chill. You did a lot today according to your post. But I am sure you enjoyed it being home.

@andriaperry Cool. Well, I am trying to relax here and feel better. I have been having my ups and downs since my heart attack back in October 2018. And today here is a lousy rainy day. You enjoy your day and stay cool.

Glad you got to stay there where you are comfortable at least! Sounds like another very on the go day! Here it hasn't been too busy, my son is sick so taking care of him.

We had a wonderful day also.
We went out to the lake, first time this season.
And although the breeze off of the water was cold, it felt great to be out there again.
We stopped on our way home at a nursery and bought some bedding plants, and then stopped again at a cemetery as I saw some deer and we wanted to get a closer look. I look watching deer, I find it relaxing and I could literally do it for hours on end.

Oh yes! It would take me 3 days a few hours each day with the push mower, now I get it all of it done in a day.
I use the mint for baking, in tea and so much more.

@andriaperry I got a lot done yesterday and nothing today. Notifications. Took the garbage out and watched a movie. I've been totally lazy today. I am planning to work on my book in a bit.
