The other day it took me literally four hours just to remove Pluffy's ticks and got me stressed.
He never had this much before. He had the most no. to boot. Grandma tried to stop me because they need rest but I told her they need to be remove. I remember one of my brother's dog died because of ticks.
I did the same thing yesterday while taking all four of them to bath. It's exhausting using just mere tweezers. But later one I bought a comb and it became handy.
Maybe my brother and sister in law were right, I should just buy a med and kill them in one drop.
Video is a sample on how i removed it.
Have a nice day

@Letranknight2015 I understand. When I had the animal shelter here at my property; at one time we had 106 dogs. You can only imagine the cost.

'tis very dangerous to remove ticks'n this manner. the heads're still stuck'n the pup. ticks can kill a pup 's they'll 'come anemic from the blood loss. yer best bet 'tis to prevent 'em. ticks don't like oil, do ya can coat 'em with such, they'll back outta their host (any critter, 'ncludin' human) 'n then can be safely removed 'n destroyed. lots 'f diseases transmitted from 'em, so use caution. be sure'n check yer home if'n said pup 'tis 'n/out. those ticks'll e'en go to yer furniture'n mattresses.

When our dog was infected with ticks, the vet recommended putting a medicine at the back of its neck; after a few days, the ticks were gone.

Hello @acelawrites That's what my sister told me, but it was way more expensive than the meds for their usual fever. Probably cost 9 to 10$ per dog.
