I could have went scuba diving yesterday but didn't know anyone was going cause he posted it on Facebook. I just got off the phone with a scuba friend of mine and he was telling me that he we scuba diving yesterday at the local dive place. I was like what and you didn't even tell me. He said he posted it on Facebook on Thursday evening. I don't use Facebook. He was like "oh sorry". I let him know that he needs to texted or call me next time and I would have went. He then told me that the water was 51 F at 20 feet deep. Well on second thought maybe it was good I didn't go. LOL I have dove in water as cold as 46 F but it is not as enjoyable as when the water is warmer. We will probably go for the first time in June when the water hopefully will warm up a little more. We usually will go in May but since this season has not been very warm yet, it isn't warming up the water very much. I'm hoping in June it will get at least to 60 F water. I included this picture I took of some random female learning to scuba dive. It is the pool part of the Open Water Certification. This is about 3 years ago, she did this pool part and then the next weekend she did the lake part and became a certified diver. I use to help with the classes for a small dive shop. It was a lot of fun and let me get in the water even more.

@ShifaLk It is you can see so much underwater in the right places, and it is great being there in the quiet. So peaceful. We have seen sunken boats, ships, planes and we have seen all kind of fish, turtles, sing rays, and sharks.

I have over 200 dives and I never took a solo certification. It's safer to dive with someone and my son is also certified for diving so we always go together. If you mean do I still have to dive with a teacher, no. We go diving just the two of us all the time. We love the water and try to go as much as we can.

My fiancé wants to do this. I will be passing - I don’t like water over my head.

It is a lot of fun but you got to be comfortable in the water or it probably is not your thing.

@Bensen32 I could. But I can't dive and I'm still learning how to swim real well. I'm not that advanced yet. I rather swim with the dolphins though.

@KristenH To go scuba diving you don't have to be an expert swimmer. Just be comfortable in the water mostly.
