How much to walk every day?

I have noticed that some people have time specific walking in mind. Some walk specific steps or distance. I can't choose between the two. So I make sure to walk some distance upto specific time. That kind of goal keeps me running and motivated. How do you walk or jog? What's your routine every day?

@skysnap yup :) grateful fer 't, too. 'tis flat lands here 'n not much to see (trees, waterways, etc). workin' the lands keeps me active when such's possible. i've heard tell one's goal should be 10,000 steps per day?? but i could be'n err. 'fore i fell ill, the hubs'd bought me a thingy that told me my mileage (not a fancy gizmo like they've these days) 'n i normally got 'bout 3-6 miles/day. dependin' 'n whether 'r not i'd the need to get hay outta the fields. 'r'd a large section 'f fence that needed tendin'.

I want to get back into walking again. I used to walk atleast 35 minutes. I picked a path that took me from my home and circled back to my home a different way. I came across several inclines along the way. I woulddo this twice a day, sometimes walking a different path on the second walk.

I walk 10 rounds at the ovals of the coliseum 4 times a week. 10 rounds is about 4 kilometers and a half and I finish it between 46 and 49 minutes. I do brisk walking and do it at 4AM or a bit later than that but not past 4:30. After my walk, I drive to the seaside which is about 2 kilometers away and watch the sunrise and take photos.

I don't jog but that is something that I wanted to do. I don't have any specific number of steps to take in a day. If ever I've got important things to do I usually do it. I admit I really have a sedentary life style.

I no longer have time to walk.In the beaches there are many astray dogs and they bite, plus we live nearer the highway. The only thing I could do to be healthy is spend 25 minutes dancing at home .During the school days, I have many walks in the campus for classrooms are located building to building, so tiresome sometimes.

I have brisk walk 4 times in week on my morning exercise routine. I walk for 45 minutes till I sweat. I walk in evenings on days when I take my daughter to music lesson ( thrice a week). That is in a nearby park. That I do as a stroll to relax and enjoy.

I have a minimum step goal PLUS I try to actively walk for 1 hour 3-4 times a week. Those days the step goal is much easier to reach, but I try to hit it every day regardless of it being a walk day r not.
